Stop Smoking – Subconsciously

I know, I’ve tried many times to stop smoking myself. I was successful one time, for over twenty years. Then I became triggered, and addict that I am, one cigarette, and I was off and running again. That was a little over twenty-three years ago; what the heck happened? So I’ve been thinking about trying once more (I never stop trying) and was looking around for some way that may work better for me. I’m excited to share with you what I found in this app.

First, I would like to share this app does more than help stop smoking. It is a full package of subliminal messages you can use on your computer for anything! What if you could increase your concentration and memory? Use this while you play your video games. And that other big issue for a lot of us, losing weight. Believe it or not, you can use this while you’re downloading those healthy recipes. It reinforces what you are already doing! There are so many other areas that subliminal messages can influence us to overcome.

To give a brief overview of how this app works, check out the link here. It’s a short tutorial of setting up the app and all the different ways you can use it. I focused on the stop smoking simply because it is one of the significant health concerns. To clarify, let’s break it down in steps for anything you are working towards changing.

What Makes Subliminal Different?

A Simple Overview

To the left is a good picture of how our mind works. As you can see, most of our behavior and beliefs DO NOT come from the conscious portion. For that reason, that’s what makes any addiction challenging to overcome on a mental/emotional level. Add to that the physical addiction to nicotine, and there you have the obstacle, and it’s a big one. But given the motivation from ourselves and the understanding of how our mind is working against us, we can break a habit we no longer need!

According to Livescience.com, “subliminal messaging works best when it taps into an existing desire.” So, in my mind, if we genuinely want to break a habit, gain confidence, lose weight, or any of those other lofty goals that are just out of reach, we need to have the “want to” first. Without it, there is not an “aide” that will work effectively by itself. In a nutshell, subliminal messages are an efficient and friendly method that deals directly with unconscious limiting beliefs. They are also a way to generate profound changes that can be done by anyone. In recent years, it has become a popular tool used by many to help themselves overcome many things.

So How Will This Help Stop Smoking?

First, this is something you can use on your computer screen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing, as long as you’re not doing a task that requires focus and attention. While it is entirely safe, you should not use it 30-60 minutes before driving, while in a moving vehicle, or while operating heavy equipment. Gee, that sounds like some medications.

Steps to be Effective

Set a Goal; I know we hear this over and over. But for a reason. It works. If we don’t have a goal, we don’t know where we are going. Believe it or not, the mind will latch onto something written down much quicker than just thought. So write down that goal, set a beginning date, AND end date. Make a note to yourself, “Progress, not perfection,” and keep working towards that goal. Set those affirmations up in the program and get ready to ROCK!

Focus on That Goal ONLY; Your subconscious can only take in so many messages before it just refuses to take in any more. Sound familiar? Of course, it does. Pick one goal, stop smoking, and focus on that. See, your conscious mind is going to tell you that it doesn’t matter. You can do more than one; you’re smart enough. Do Not Listen. If you do, I promise you will only sabotage your efforts in reaching the goal you are working toward achieving!

Repeat; Listen to the messages as suggested by the program. These are the people who are the experts in how to best work with this method, not you. You are committed to succeeding, so make the time and effort to do so.

Don’t Stress Out; Trust your decision and efforts. Have fun with the program. Change up the daily affirmations. Believe and have faith that in the end, you will feel better, and your life will have changed for the better. It may take longer than what you thought it would. That’s ok; keep going because you’re not failing. The only way you fail is if you stop trying.
